Inspire Global Media Awards 2026

It’s so rewarding to be able to say that Inside the Travel Lab has reached the finals in two categories at the Inspire Global Media Awards this year.

First up is ‘Blog Story of the Year‘ for the article on the dark side of traditional arts and crafts in Sri Lanka.

And second is ‘Vlog of the Year‘ for this video asking a simple question with a surprisingly complex answer: is it worth visiting North Sri Lanka?

Both pieces grew out of a trip I took to Sri Lanka last year as part of a wider project with Sri Lanka Tourism, exploring the country beyond the usual highlights – from the stories behind traditional crafts to the realities of travelling through the north.

As always, I reserved the right to write what I liked, otherwise, what’s the point?

A huge thank you to everyone who has read, watched, shared, commented, and supported Inside the Travel Lab over the years.

Onwards and upwards.
