Well, the world certainly moves in mysterious ways. When I started my travel blog, Inside the Travel Lab, little did I know that the world of social media would transform itself from a sidelined hobby into a professional worldwide extravaganza – and that I’d be along for the ride.
November saw me return to the sixties by zooming around London in a Mini Cooper, Hey Jude in the background, gold bar in my hand. This rerun of the Italian Job, orchestrated by the rather cool guys at smallcarBIGCITY, formed part of a “blog trip” organised by Andy Jarosz from 501 Places.
In his words, Andy wanted to play “host to five of Europe’s prominent travel bloggers,” which he did with great panache.
In the world of social media, the writer seems to count as much as the writing, and so the Travel Trade Gazette were waiting to snap our pics as we emerged from the Minis, peaked caps in place.
