Un-Cruise Through Alaska

The wilderness of Alaska is best appreciated by solitude and exploration. That’s my opinion, anyway, so I was thrilled to discover that the established American Safari Cruises will launch its InnerSea Discoveries next year. By taking no more than 12 people at a time onto the glaciers, forests and shores of southeast Alaska, they hope to encourage the appreciation of wilderness itself, as well as preserving the environment for the future.

Inside El Torcal National Park

The outdoor enthusiast in me fell in love with the limestone towers in El Torcal National Park, which I wrote about for this month’s easyJet Traveller. Only so many photos fit into a piece, however, so I wanted to share a few more here.

A whole new calendar year with plenty of white space to scribble travel plans all over. So far I’m lucky enough to have Geneva, London, Paris, Oxford and New York on the list, plus chances to delve around a little deeper in Andalusia and Tenerife.

That doesn’t stop me dreaming about other places, though. We’ll just have to see where 2010 takes me…
